Truthfully when you put it on 32C your area is not at the same temp and the same story with 18C also it is not as cold as you think

But how come you feel like you want some cooling at the same time when your father wants to get warm?

Lets change the scenario...
Dad is picking me up from school and is feeling hot so puts his temp down to 18C. Dad comes late to pick me up so I am standing out in freezing cold weather and I get in the car and put my temp to 32C. Dad starts to get hot air when he wants cold...

OK, thanks for the explanation. After a few minutes (when you're warmed up and your father is not feeling hot anymore) you both probably will want the same temperature, right?

Well it depends on the person...Another example is my sister who for some reason most of the time feels cold even if everyone around her is boiling. So someone like her will constantly keep her temperature on 32C where as Mum and Dad will have it on 18C
