Not the last time there was a M3 sedan. Though this time it might be a bit different cause of lack of CF roof and slightly higher curb weight.

That's ages away. Porsche, Audi and BMW are getting their's out next year, but the 7G Aut tranny will be good enough until then.

Well, of course that is your opinion and you, like everyone else has a right to an opinion. That includes Chris Harris, and just because he prefers the M3 over the C63 doesn't mean he's on BMW's payroll.

Quote:
There are too many competitors to the three series for them not to get chosen at least once.

Anytime I see a 3 series comparison I open it up and if I see it as number one I burn the magazine.

I can understand a few wins, but these magazines don't even acknowledge the time and engineering that other car companies put into their cars.

I'm not biased, just tired of BMW winning comparisons that it doesn't deserve. Yes, let it win some (if it actually does) but not all.

Somebody out their is getting paid.

I drove the 3 series (not that it's the same as the m3), but it wasn't the "Amazing Ultimate Driving Machine" as the say it is.

Yes, the 3 series (M3) is a good car that benefits from great engineering, but it's not the best.
Again, you are entilted to your opinion (and I can even understand where you're coming from), but I think it's highly provocative when you forcibly suggest that any magazine which chooses the 3-Series over any of it's competitors is immediately on BMW's payroll.

In any event, I do gather the impression that you believe the BMW 3-Series is over-rated, am I right? No worries, I respect your opinion.

But there isn't much more point in talking about this because it's an endless circle. You believe what you believe and the journalists believe what they believe, but just because they don't share your view doesn't mean they are automatically biased.

Honestly, I'm sure neither of us know this Chris Harris personally, so we don't know what goes on behind closed doors.

You do you. I'll do me. I'm done with it anyway.

And if I'm wrong I will personally send Chris Harris a letter of apology.

To those who feel my views.

No, you're right. Neither of us know Chris Harris personally, but I haven't any reason to doubt his integrity as a journalist.

Do bias' exist in journalism? Yeah, of course they do. After all, nearly all opinions are based on a bias; a preference. And while you may think the 3-Series is blatantly over-rated, someone else might perceive it as the greatest thing on the earth. Neither such thinking is wrong because as I said before, it's all a matter of opinion.

Additionally, I'm not a 3-Series fan myself, but I don't question when they (whoever they may be) choose it over the Lexus IS or Mercedes-Benz C-Class in a comparison. You know why? Because In the end, the choice is mine - no matter who picks or says what. But just because a magazine chooses a 3-Series over a C-Class does not mean they are on BMW's payroll. Period.

Quite frankly, I think you're reading far too deep into these comparisons.

Are you suggesting that I email Chris Harris and ask him if he's on BMW's payroll? There's no way in the hell I'd do that - no matter the journalist. That's just insulting and more than somewhat childish.

Anyways, I don't think there's much else to say.

Lol...Why not? You gotta have that "Highest of High" kind of faith.

I will email or write anyone no matter "Who" they are.

There are is only one person I fear and thats God.

But back to the point, I'm not worried about the issue just simply pointing out "my" beliefs.

Good convo though...
