NEW E-Class Model: E230

I am confused...I just started the MB-configurator! Mercedes offers a E 230!

The car has a 6 cylinder engine with 150 kW (204 PS) and 2496 cm3 !

It costs 40.698,00 € (the E 280 costs 42.066,50 €).

0 - 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds
Top Speed is 240 km/h!

I was actually waiting when they'd add the 230 engine to the E-Class lineup. What is surprising however is that this engine is only available with 7G Tronic, no manual.

I personally think this is a good move.

There was always such a big "gap" between the E200 Kompressor and the E240 / E280. With the E230, this gap has been closed, so I feel.

The performance looks to be on par with the old E240 (2.6-l V6), except better. And we all know this engine is much peppier and alive than the V6 found in the C240, E240 and CLK240. It was really showing its age.

One more thing, the E280 replaced the E240, so this E230 is really a new model.
