* Now that's a Duesy! * No oil pump? An engine case that rotates?? Gas or diesel??? Now this is hot!!! Leno has the real deal collection, real rare too. Very Maybach Exellero, but looks terrific! - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Hot on the well-heeled... well, umm... heels of reborn luxury nameplates Maybach and Bugatti, Duesenberg is set to rise from the ashes... in Minnesota of all places. That's because the rights to the fabled American super luxury liner's name was purchased by a Maple Plain corporation in 1996, and the firm has designs on reviving the marque with the Duesenberg Torpedo Coupe seen here. If it makes it to market, this will be the first new Duesie in almost 70 years. [Many more details including more artists sketches and one funky V12 after the jump]

Re: * Now that's a Duesy! * Great post. I saw these sketches a feew months ago and become thrilled about the fact that Daimler want to revive the Duisenberg brand. Though I have a feeling that Daimler will try to create an ultra fast and extravagance long distance cruiser a'la Veyron. Expect an astronomical price tag.

Re: * Now that's a Duesy! * They better give us a Cadillac sixteen type of car. I want this car to live up to it's name and be a greatbraking and dominent luxury coupe. If built it will likely be based on the up coming CL.

Re: * Now that's a Duesy! * Deusenberg is a very old company owned by Daimler its an American car. The current classics that Jay Leno owns, cost more than some planes. Theres very few ever made and even fewer left in the US. Anyways this new one is going to be in accordance. Very expensive, very stylish, elegant and very powerful. Daimler is the right company for this vehicle. As for the CL platform, i dont think so but im sure it will have some aspects. Other than that this car will be bigger and longer and the platform will be new, perhaps more like the Exellero.
