Some 1.5 million people log onto the Mercedes-Benz international website every month. “The new presentation, which has a strong audiovisual emphasis, enables us to present specific brand topics in greater multimedia detail,” says Lothar Korn, head of Global Advertising Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars. “It also allows people to experience more intensely the fascination of Mercedes-Benz, the world’s most valuable premium automotive brand.” The redesigned Brand World, which is presented in both English and German, offers visitors a fascinating online experience with impressive images, interesting in-formation and numerous interactive elements. At the launch of the redesigned website three topics are highlighted. The first option enables visitors to take a virtual tour of the new Mercedes-Benz Museum, which comprises a multimedia journey through the evolution of the automobile and the exciting history and fascination of the brand with the star. There’s also a special multimedia presentation, which impressively demonstrates the benefits offered by the PRO-SAFE™ safety system in the new-generation E Class. The presentation features an interactive reaction test that allows visitors to the site to find out for themselves how the comprehensive safety philosophy employed by Mercedes-Benz provides optimal protection in dangerous situations. The third special is a presentation of the latest convertible models from Mercedes Benz using the “Sound of Summer” television commercial, which has won numerous awards. In addition, the site features music podcasts and the “Mixed Tape” free music download. The content of the new Mercedes-Benz Brand World will be updated every quarter, providing users with information on new passenger cars and other Mercedes-Benz brand products, such as trucks, buses, vans and recreational vehicles.
