| Will the B-Class make it to the U.S.? I was surprised to see a B-Class roaming the streets of New York City today. At first I thought it was a Scion! I squinted at the back when the car passed me from behind and realize it was an MB when I saw the MB star on the back. There was no badge on the back. I remember there was a shot of a B-Class and the R-Class in Alabama in the old GCF forum. But it might have been there for further tests or maybe it was used by the Alabama factory. Now, do you guys think MBUSA will introduce it to the US market? Which car will this thing compete against? Will it damage MB’s image in the US? Any thoughts will be appreciated. | Re: Will the B-Class make it to the U.S.? I doubt the B-Class will ever come to the U.S. at least I hope it doesn't. I don't know what it would compete with. I think they'd like too, but Mercedes needs to concentrate on premium products, not trying to set the sales charts afire with cheapo models like the B-Class, IMO. M |

| Re: Will the B-Class make it to the U.S.? Might have been a Canadian enjoying NYC. The B-Class wasn't very convincing to me from a driving POV. The A-Class beats it by a wide margin. Anyway, there's no way MB will bring the B-Class to the US. It just doesn't fit into the US market. That's what the bigger and more powerful R-Class is there for I suppose. |

![]() But this one had an ontario license plate. I am 100% sure that the first one I saw had a manufacturer license plate though. - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER | |

| Re: Will the B-Class make it to the U.S.? I would be surprised if the B class went on sale, mainly because you can't get V6 engines in it, correct me if I'm wrong but I believed that you couldn't get anything smaller than a V6 in a merc in America! |

| Re: Will the B-Class make it to the U.S.? I hope NOT! The B would only dilute and damage MB's reputation in the US. Americans seem to have a different take on prestige/luxury compared to most other world markets. The B would never be accepted as a true Mercedes, and in many many ways rightfully so. |

| Re: Will the B-Class make it to the U.S.? I don't have a problem with Benz selling the B-class.... I think that that would work better than introducing Smart actually. |
