  | ***Mühldorfer Stadtplatz Classic Car Show (Part 3)*** Here's Part III Railton, a British car. Picture number 4 shows the owners favorite beer brand.       BMW 1602   Volkswagen "Schwimmwagen" Typ 166   Audi 80 Quattro: H O T  MG   DKW Junior    Mercedes-Benz 419 Firetruck: probably saw many years of service right here in this town!     Fiat Spider without the front bumper...  NSU TTS  Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16 again...   Mercedes-Benz 300a "Adenauer"      Porsche Targa & a really ancient Ford!      Rally Porsche 924      Trabant: Made in East Germany yo!  Simca 1100 I believe. Looks like a Russian Lada for some reason, despite Lada generally using older Fiat body styles...   END OF PART III |

The VW 166 was used by the German Army during World War II. It's not as famous as the Kübelwagen, but it was equally good offroad, reliable and had the added benefit of being able to "swim in water". There's actually a little propeller at the back. I took these shots about 2 and half months ago, during the last week or so of the summer.  | |
