Automobile Magazine -2008 Cadillac CTS vs. BMW 335i and Mercedes-Benz C350 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I subscribe to Automobile so I can tell you a few things about this comparo before they post the actual story online. They don't really pick a "winner" here per say, but conclude that the Cadillac still isn't up the world class standards of the Benz or the BMW. The Benz was faster from 0-60 than the more powerful Cadillac, but all the cars weren't tested in the same place/time. You get the overall feeling that BMW really wins this one overall, but they never come out and say that from what I remember. The Cadillac I'll admit is a real looker in these pics. M

Re: Automobile Magazine -2008 Cadillac CTS vs. BMW 335i and Mercedes-Benz C350 Car And Driver said the CTS interior was much nicer than the C. I must say that the interior of the C worried me from pics, and when I finally drove it and sat in it, I just wan't very impressed. It is solidly built, but pretty plain and a lot of plastic. I wish it had a horizontal piece of wood in front of the passenger on the dash. I also don't like the fact that MB used hard plastic between the front seats on the transmission tunnel. First time in a US car they have done it, and it is for obvious cost cutting reasons. I will still probably end up buying it, but the interior was a disappointment and also the fact that they won't be offering memory seats and door controls in the US either, another cost cutting move.

Re: Automobile Magazine -2008 Cadillac CTS vs. BMW 335i and Mercedes-Benz C350 The E46 received a very nice frontal face lift, with the redesign of the head lights. It made a big difference. Hopefully the E46 will receive a similar treatment or a whole redesign like Audi did with the A4 a few years ago. But the E90 is loosing something of its charm and withe new A4 around the corner the E90 will have a tough time in the looks department. ![]()
