| Spotting with what Camera? Hello guys. As you know I have my own website which I started out recently. We are still working on it, so please excuse the dust. On it I wrote an article and on why I picked the D200 over the D80 when it comes to plane spotting. If you are interested in reading it, let me know what you think. | Re: Spotting with what Camera? Very nice I see Beemer Boi is doing this with you. Very nice site, interesting topics on the forum and nice pictures. Also thought your write up was well done PS. I'm very familiar with MIA. During 1998-99 I flew there every week for one year and one week. Always stayed at the Airport Hilton. Nice folks, would be nice to see them again. |

That's nice to hear. Thank you for the compliments. In reference to the MIA thing, so the last time you were here was in 99? You literally lived here if you came here that much. Wow! Come back! ![]()

Oh, BTW, I voted on your poll too and voted for Boeing. The reason being that on overseas trips, travelling amongst the regular folks (i.e. not in 1st class or business class) the upstairs seating area is superior on the 747 than any of the airbus economy seating that I've experienced.

You are right in you assertion about the 747 because Airbus has never had an aircraft that had a second floor--until now. The A380 will maybe put a dent on your opinion, if you ever travel in it. Check this out: and

| Re: Spotting with what Camera? I must add here that Michael has been putting a great deal of time, effort and passion into his aviation website! And he also uses those same qualities in that article of his! It really is a good read for photography enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike. As for that upper deck.. well one day I hope to actually go up there. Doubt i'll ever actually book a seat up there though since most airlines use it for Business or First class.. but it sure would be something new. As for the A380.. well since I live in Sydney, I'm sure i'll see an endless number of them at SYD once most of the orders have been delivered. I hope Qantas has some sort of 'open day' when they take delivery of their A380's so that the public can take a walk in and around the aircraft. ![]() |

BeerMer Boi, thanks for your warm comments. You know, as well as I do, that without you that site would not be possible. Now, on to the A380. I cannot wait to be able to board that aircraf and inspect it myself. What I mean by inspect is really to get a feel for it. To see if it really adds up to everything that it has been said it is. I truly think that it will add up to everything that has been said and more. I hope to see the A380 at MIA one day. I have been wondering though who would fly that plane to MIA. If there would be any reason to fly one there? EK? AF? BA?
