| Re: Paint.net 3.0 Alpha Did you test it yourself? When you say not as good... what features are missing or are not as good? Personally, Photoshop more than exceeds my needs. Plus I find PS heavy on the processing side. This could be an interesting alternative. Quote:

I recently purchased Aperture and got the latest free upgrade from Apple to Version 1.5. I am finding it quite nice and I could find myself not upgrading to the next version of PS CSx. It has a very good RAW conversion and they added several features such as edge sharpening and level adjustments. I am not totally comfortable with it yet in my workflow, but think within a short time I will be using it almost exclusively. No longer are your limited to only master files imported into the Aperture Library, but can use files located anywhere on your computer. You can also export a Master Copy to anywhere or open an image in your selected External Editor such as PS, do the tweaking and save back into Aperture as a Version. The Apple site has an excellent Demo of the features at - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER if you are interested. | |
