| Olympus E400 D-SLR Hi everyone, Was just wondering if anybody has had any experience with the Olympus E400 SLR. I am loooking to buy an SLR for my brother's 21st birthday, and not knowing much about SLRs, I was hoping you could help! The reason I am looking at this is that I can get it for £339 at the moment, as opposed to £360 for the Canon 350D and £420 for the Canon 400D. I think its a pretty good deal, but do you think it is worth it over something like the Canon 350D? I'd appreciate some advice! Its a really small and light SLR with 10megapixels. Canon 350D is 8MP, but I suppose having more pixels doesnt always mean better image quality. So please SLR know-it-alls, help me out! | Re: Olympus E400 D-SLR I just bought the 400D And im enjoyin it....I think u better of stickin with 1 of the bigger brands even if it means a few extra dollars as u get good quality, reliability and a large range of accessories...If i were u i would go the 400D Route as it has a nice sensor cleanin function wich is not found on 350D..Another awesome brand 2 look at is Nikon..Chek out the D40 And D40X Out.....Olympus are not that renown 4 SLR Cameras.....Im just a newbie In SLR photography but no regrets so far.... Happy Camera Hunting ![]() |

| Re: Olympus E400 D-SLR I have a very soft spot for Olympus because of my experience with the C-4000 point-and-shoot that's been by my side for 4 or 5 years. I know Olympus isn't known for their SLRs, but I don't think you'd be making a mistake with one. | Re: Olympus E400 D-SLR Thanks for your replies guys. I think I might stick with the Olympus just now. The E400 has a sensor cleaning function like the 400D. I will have another think about it! |
