The Z8 is an awesome car! I love the instrument panel - never saw one with the "night effect" before!! It's just perfect...

The Alpina Z8 was exceptional car in many ways. It was among other things the only Alpina that had less power than the BMW it was based on.

It has less power, but got an automatic transmission! Normally, you got the Z8 only with a manual one! So, the Z8 Alpina was more concipated as a cruiser and autobahn car...

Yup, I know. Alpina's Z8 had more emphasis on comfortable cruising. In addition to the automatic transmission and different engine they also changed the suspension to more comfort-orientated (plus few other smaller changes).
