Re: BMW E92 3er Coupé Picture Thread

Those pictures look OK, I wouldn't say that blue was the best colour for the car though!

Are you kidding me? 7 series rearlights, 3 series side and 5 series front? All elements the 3 most striking parts of each car combined in 1. This is as much a Bangle-BMW as any other new BMW. Thing is, we're getting used to it, and because other manufacturors are also heading the same direction with their designs, it's looking less "weird"

If Chris Bangle wasn't there to stir things up with his first batch of cars, BMW could have just come out with the E92 replacing the E46 coupe, and you know what? I wouldn't have given a second thought that it was something radically different, just another BMW.

It doesn't have the crazy 'flame surfacing' the Z4 adopted everywhere, the wacky front lights of the 5er, or the bulbous butt the 7er carries. Actually, to me, the rear in certain angles is fairly generic. In fact the only thing that stands out in design is the promenent crease on the side, and plenty of cars have that these days...What we have here is a fairly modern but more traditional good looking BMW and most of pro Bangle (dare-to-be-different) supporters are eating it up.

Well you're saing one thing, someone else is saing another thing.
Well, it cares some elements from it's bigger brothers, and have something of it's own.
The trademarks of its bigger brothers aren't here probably because, the 3er coupe has to be different while still part of the family.

However I doubt Reitzle would have accepted it.
IMO the profile would have been tweaked, not so pronounce crest, some lines removed, and the butt, completly redesigned.

Re: BMW E92 3er Coupé Picture Thread

I love these pictures and think that they are great but what I want to see is USA prices. I want to know how much a 335 will cost me since this is probably my next BMW.

I think it'll be a touch over $40k. It won't be a cheap car that's for sure. But definitely worth it.

Starting price? Are we talking $ because I doubt that's going to happen. That's 10k more than a starting 330i
