I hope I haven't stirred any rage feeling on the folks in this thread...specially the Bimmer fans.
It's always exciting in "the house of BMW". Never boring.

The only thing that bothered me ALWAYS was the term a "4 door coupé", nothing else! And it still gets on my nerves! I don't accept it and i won't call it like that, even this one from BMW.

I was bashing it's design which i still don't find attractive at all. Speaking for myself, of course...

Moreover, there's a difference, a big one, between the CS concept and CLS. The CLS is positioned between E and S and this one will be positioned between 7er and RR, the flagships of BMW. Big difference if you ask me.

And btw, Kowalski, believe it or not, i actually like your Coupé Like Saloon term thousand times better than the $hitty term 4 door coupé.

Good eye!

I like the new interior design path - much more sophisticated & softer yet still exciting, modern, complex, organic. Very Zaha Hadid indeed.

Current interior design at BMW is fresh, modern , complex, organic yet lacks some coherence & sophistication. More Frank Gehry.

I'm very pleased to see BMW designer were able to produce such brilliant CS Concept interior - showing they can produce sophisticated yet exciting , fresh & modern interior after all.

After all it almost 8 years from Z9 GT Concept debut, and 8 years equals almost a light year leap in design.

I hope MB & Audi will show some serious interior study soon - right now it looks like they have stuck with the same old theme.

I absolutely agree Sasha.

The whole "4-door coupé" tag is so "un-German" and very very American -- clearly dreamed up by the American side of the business (DCX) to appeal to the US market. Why do Americans so love these sorts of novelties and marketing gimmicks.
