Ford’s popular Fiesta is nearing the end of its product-cycle but to spruce things up before its replacement arrives Ford has released a limited edition ‘Black Magic’ model. The new hatch is limited to just 1,500 examples and is available with either a 70hp 1.2L unit or a 80hp 1.6 petrol engines.

Differentiating the car from the regular fleet includes the special ‘Panther Black’ metallic paint, 16in alloy wheels powder-coated in black, new front fog lights, and unique front and rear bumpers.

The car also sports tinted glass, aluminum trim on the center console and leather cladding for the steering wheel and gearshift knob. Other features include a premium stereo system, electrically adjustable and heated mirrors and performance tires.

There are reports Ford may drop the longstanding Fiesta nameplate when it replaces the small hatch late next year with a new model based on the - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.

Utterly, utterly useless.

If they only had fitted it with the same engine as in the ST150... it could be turned into something really worthy of being special. But sadly turned out not be.

Why on earth they would drop a nameplate that has served them up so well for the last 31 years? It would be suicidal.

Even Toyota is having trouble now to shift the "Auris" because arrive at a Toyota dealership and they want a new Corolla and the salesman are failing to convince the customer that the Auris IS the new Corolla. Clearly the customer gets bored at half of the explanation and walk away on the way to the Honda dealership where the old trusty Civic it still available.
