Sorry, but that kind of grill doesn't work with an Audi. It would look much better on a Chrysler.

Why did they remove the chrome Audi badge? I think if it's left there it would look decidedly sporty, better than the stock grill at least.

do people who buy audi's really want the attention that comes with getting a chrome grill? i find that people who buy audis (atleast the ones i know) are the ones who want the luxury of a german car, but not that pompous image that comes with it.

Well I'd say that some owners might want to "bling" their A6 - but most are quite conservative.

Conservative might translate to "having good taste". Bodywork can easily destroy a car. For example look at ASMA S Shark:



It's surely worse than the prototype it's based on.

Audi not looking pompus? ...hmm.. I tend to see it the other way. Especially with the A6. It is easily the car which looks the biggest/fattest when compared to the 5er and E-class... and that huge front grille really is a stand out feature....so those 2 factors really translate to 'pompous' for me. I'm not sure if you were using 'pompus' in the same context.....but yeh, that's just my take on it.
Im not saying the A6 is ugly or anything...(except for that all-chrome grille pic..yukk!!).
