A5/S5/RS5 with 5.2 V10 FSI.

I wonder will a 5.2 V10 FSI engine fit under the bonnet of the future A5 body. ?

fit? fit is something, put is something else
a V8 will fit in the Z4 bonnet but do you see a V8 Z4 down the street?
it's a question of marketing, if a V10 can be mechanically mated to an S6 or S8 than it can bemechanically mated to an A5 derivative, but the question of doing it or not is a matter of marketing

A V10 will probably fit inside a A5 just like the S4 probably could house the bimmer V10 engine. It is all a question of exclusivty. Do Audi really want the V10 to be available for A5, RS6, RS8, A8, A7(?) and the Gallardo. Probably not. The RS5 will most likely be equiped with the RS4 engine and maybe even a turbo charged version of it.

That's a very good question and from what i have heard the answer is yes.

S5 will have the 4.2 lt now RS4 uses so RS5 might have the V10 engine but it's too early for speculation.

Actually, there even is enough space for the V10 in the Z4...the bonnet is huge.

Aaah yes, totally forgot about that.

So that's the whole point. The 5.2 V10 has to stay a bit exclusive, and having that engine in every single Audi model above the A3 pretty much kill that.
I mean, potential Gallardo owners want something special too....

It's the V8 from the E39 with 450 hp.

The next generation of S6 and S8 will move from V10 to V12 engines (like the new V12 TDI) , so that leaves enough space for the use of the V10 in the RS5 and possibly in the RS4.
