| My RS4 experience I finally got the "taxi-ride" in the RS4 today. I was so afraid to approach the owner about it but I garnered my courage to do it. In the end, he was more than willing to give me that ride and together with my dad and good friend we were off to his Avus Silver RS4. It had a Miltek exhaust on so you can imagine how amazing it sounded. An MC Victory turned up for the outing, and I can say that the RS4 sounds just as good if not better than the Mazza. I jumped to the back seat and the driver asked us "So, windows down and the airconditioning off right?". Straightaway that excites us in anticipating for the run. He said he was a slow driver but his performance in that 10 minutes is anything but. He fired the car up and it sounded exactly like a big-bore V8. A prod of the throttle and we were rolling out of the carpark. Good thing I got my seatbelt on because upon turning to the main road he started off the wild ride. The engine redlined at 8000+rpm and he shifted to the second gear. The pull is just amazing, so much more brutal than any other car I've ever experienced, and the traction so sure there wasn't any hint of wheel spin at all. quattro was working its magic around the corners as well as he took the corners at 150km/h without hesitation. The tires squealed a little but with some throttle he pulled the car out of the turns. He was going so quickly and I must admit now that the ride I had was the most terrifying and yet awesome one ever. The car was so sure-footed around the corners where other cars would have slid off the road. The cabin was so tightly put together it seemed that the whole package was just perfect. He downshifted heel-and-toe and the sound... I can just say, OH MY GOD! After very terrifying runs of close to 250km/h we finally reached the carpark again. I was speechless. It's the combination of both driver and car that made that ride the best I've ever had. And it removed every single doubt of mine about Audi being unable to build sports car. The RS4 is simply one heck of a car, a wolf in a sheep's clothing. Some pictures to come but no videos because I was so terrified to even take one. ![]() |

And also I have to mention that the car is very quiet on idle. Can't tell it's an RS4 from the inside. When you open the taps though... | |
