Yupp. It's been some days now and it's time for you to give an overall grade for the new Audi A4. We don't know how it handles yet, but looking at the shape and design and everything else, what grade do you give the new saloon?

It looks as different from the old A4 as the E53 looks from the E70 X5, but the difference is that all other Audis minus the TT and R8 look like the new A4, and no other cars in the BMW lineup look like the X5

Now when all the hype and bashing has settled it time to critically examine the car with a natural state of mind.

First of all I will start off by saying that the first pictures that came out of the red car are disgusting. The photo of the front was taken in probably the worst angle possible.

They other shots of the silver car really shows the car in a true sense. Overall it's very appealing to the eyes, and really nobody can call the car ugly.

Audi did a genius move with the front. They gave it a semi S-line styling which give the car a powerful stance and an aggressive appearance. The interior is high tech and futuristic without a sterile feeling. With the sexy interior and the tasteful exterior the A4 looks phenomenal in it's absolute basic form. That can't really be said for the C-class and 3er which tend to look a bit low-end premium without any from of optional rims, special trim or sports package.

The only complaint i really have about the car is the lack of inspirational design. It's simply not more than a "new Audi". I wish Audi had been a bit more adventurous with the design of the front lights.

Other than that I love it!! Especially after having watched the video Audihaulic posted. The price is extremely attractive too, 24 000 euro which makes it cheaper than the C-class and the 3er. Bare in mind that the A4 is a premium car ready to roll at it's asking price.

I believe it's going to be a hit and leech a good portion of sales from the 3er. My grade i 4.


Good job Audi but you could have done a little bit better.

With this car Audi will gain a portion of the market but won't take the lead because of the understated and discrete styling. I still believe it will be third in line behind the cars with more attitude, the C and the 3er.

I gave it a 4/5 for now. When the first reviews come out, and if I get a chance to drive it, then maybe I'll give it a 5.

I also gave the C-Class 4/5 when a similar poll was created in the MB section.

Although it get's a strong 4 from me. I believe I'll give it a 5 when the S4 comes

It looks good, quite good. It's not better than I expected but also not worse.
But I've got a big complaint about the A4. It's just too big, too long, too wide. That's not "my" class anymore. I don't want to drive A4s/Cs/3er that are 5m long or 1.90m wide in some years time...

I give it a 3, but really I should give it a 2.5. It is a decent car. I was hoping for a greater interior and exterior design development for this A4.

Although there are no new design elements, the new A4 looks much nicer overall because the side profile is improved. The front over hang is reduced noticably and the car has a cab-backward stance with a short tail. Overall the side profile looks a lot more sporty than the previous version.

The interior design wasn't new because it was basically the same as the A5. Not that is a a bad thing, I rate it just a little above the new C-class.

I guess a solid 2.5-3 is all I can give until i see one IRL.

I'll give it 4.5/5 just from seeing it in pictures.
The interior is perfect and the exterior is almost perfect.
