B7 RS4 U.S. sales I've been to two Audi stores in two days, both of which had two B7 RS4's new in stock, a little unusual for such a car but perpetuates a sentiment I've heard all too often; the RS4 is too expensive. While that largely depends on the individual and their value system this seems to be universal. This could be bad news for future RS variants coming stateside for the simple fact that they're not selling as well as AoA would like, but this was also a problem for the C5 RS6 (which eventually was sold out, after a good while). BMW retailers can barely hold onto M cars for long, but then again it's only one high performance model line BMW is selling for a lengthy enough period of time to keep prices sane. This only gets me back on the S vs RS debate... it's almost as if Audi has to make up it's mind about what they want for the brand and not so much the customer anymore(his wallet). ![]()

Re: B7 RS4 U.S. sales Can't comment on the sales of the RS4, but the dealer here in Calgary has not one, but four!

Re: B7 RS4 U.S. sales Ten, even five years ago Calgary would not have had any (or at least not for a while) Now, vehicles (from all manufacturers) are being shipped here like crazy) Thanks to a growing oil industry ![]() Sorry, no more off topic. ![]() Last edited by Bruce; 02-04-2007 at 10:59 PM..

Re: B7 RS4 U.S. sales In Canada, the RS4 is VERY expensive (>$94000 Cdn dollars). That's about $20000 more expensive than the W203 C55 and E46 M3, and about $25000 more expensive than the B7 S4. The RS4 is close to the price of a base Porsche 911 in Canada.

Re: B7 RS4 U.S. sales Now that the RS4 has set a benchmark for performance and price, I wonder how BMW will price the upcoming E92 M3. Will it be close to the E46 M3, or will it be closer to the RS4? And you can be certain that the W204 C63 AMG will follow suit to whatever is decided by BMW for the M3.
