Spanish car magazine Autopista has the first official photo of the new Audi S3 on the cover of their new issue as Autoblog.it reports.

Btw, 265hp from a 4cyl engine?

Audi gone carzy! Like some crazy Japanese that pulls out 300hp from 2.0L engine...

Looking really good. Let's just hope that that 2.0T engine really makes the car handle lite the RS4, (cause of it's light engine).
Otherwise I really hoped for over 280hp.

I don't doubt that it handles great, it's the engine i'm worried about. Isn't it a little much (265hp) for such small displacement and 4 cyl.?

Well, I think the opposite. The engine weight a lot less then the V6 engine, so I bet they made the handling the nr 1 thing here.

I suspect turbo-lag would be largely present in this engine - you simply can't have that much power without lag.

Some other grumbles I have with the S3 is with that front bumper. Simply too busy and messy, especially on an Audi, where minimalistic design is so prominent. Also, those wheels: aren't they just smaller versions of the S8 wheels? Talk about creativity! But they do suit the car quite nicely.

Love that interior though. Beautiful stuff. Audi is leaps and bounds in front of any car manufacturer when it comes to interior designs.

so what happens to VW R-engines? share the same engine?
