Audi S3 Sportback.

The new Audi S3 is romoured to be shown on the Geneva autosalon 2006.
It will have a ±280 hp 2.0 FSI Twincharger or 280 hp 3.6 VR6 engine.

I hope it has a VR6. I would hate to see the top version of A3 have less displacement and two less cyl than A3 3.2 lt V6.

Re: Audi S3 Sportback.

I saw an A3 today in red it was beautiful. Doing about 80mph in the pouring rain, looks pretty roomy too. I'd like to see one in person.

for some reason i dont care for performance in a car like this....

Re: Audi S3 Sportback.

Axl,The A3 is nice in black too...
its my favorite model in Audi's current lineup.
mid- 29k gets you sports package (17" wheels, sprts suspension, leather), 6spd transmission, and the gigundo glass roof. FWD...yes, but there's very little oversteer...and the little thing gets mid-6 sec 0-60mph.

sweet

Re: Audi S3 Sportback.

They say that 250 hp in 3.2 V6 is too much...It's just not a car for that much power..

And now with this..

A performance car in this sort of packaging would be great, however the R36 will probably make a far better choice when it comes. In my head, packaging is king, packaging is everything.

Re: Audi S3 Sportback.

Yannis according to this thread. the A3 3.2 didnt do so well, in fact the R32 out performed all. With the 1er second.
