Re: Porsche 997 GT2 Official Thread

First time ever: Porsche with Launch Control! Now the 0-100 kph time of 3,7 sec is possible IMO 0-200 kph around 11,0 s and 0-300 kph in ca. 35 s

Re: Porsche 997 GT2 Official Thread

Kind of heavy and underpowered and too much full of aids.

Wasn't the lack of aids the hole reason of the GT2 ?!

Yes the lack of aids was one of the GT2's key elements but Porsche seem to have come to the conclusion that PASM would aid in performance. PSM was also a surprise but at the same time logical since most owners don't treat their GT2 like a weekend car a'la F430. GT2 owners drive their car a lot.

Re: Porsche 997 GT2 Official Thread

So IE, you're saying that in the modern trend, 1440 kg is heavy and the 395 kW and 685 Nm constitutes being underpowered hey?

...wellll, I suppose there's nothing wrong with having high standards I suppose.

Underpowered and heavy? This thing boasts a Kerbweight lighter than an F430, but has an extra 50bhp..

If it had 1500 hp it would still be underpowered for him...

Re: Porsche 997 GT2 Official Thread

Sweet! Thanks Monster, but I can't say that I'm a fan of what they've done with the exhaust treatment, etc.

Personally, I'd rather have the '04 996 GT2.
