Re: AMS - 997 Carrera S Kit performance figures

In my opinion it's something about 10.000 €...give me a minute...

...

edit: 12.376 €

The package adds:

Raises power output to 381 hp. Includes modified cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, ECU, additional radiator (only for manual transmission), carbon fiber air-cleaner housing, aluminium-intake system and sports exhaust system with pair of dual-tube tailpipes in individual design in chrome-plated stainless steel. Note: also in conjunction with Tiptronic S.

Re: AMS - 997 Carrera S Kit performance figures

What's really interesting for me is the acceleration and flexibility of the 'Kit'.
Comparing to the Sport Auto Supertested, 415 hp 997 GT3 RS

Carrera S Kit (GT3 RS)

-381 hp (415 hp)
-1478 kg (1424 kg)
-300 km/h (310 km/h)
-0-100 km/h: 4,4 s (4,3 s)
-0-160 km/h: 9,8 s (9,2 s )
-0-200 km/h: 15,0 s (14,0 s)
-80-120 km/h in 5th/6th: 6,0 s/8,1 s (6,6 s/8,1 s)

Re: AMS - 997 Carrera S Kit performance figures

I think the power kit is a good deal but I wish Porsche would somewhat make it standard just to make the 911 of a better value.

The source is AMS (Auto Motor und Sport) - It is a german car magazine and the data is reliable!!

You can find a lot of scans out of the AMS on this forum... ...they are normally mark with "[scans] AMS: ..." or only "AMS" - like DeDe does with this thread...

...and, before I'll forget it: WELCOME to germancarzone!!
