Hmmm ... look at the back of the car,
there are only two exhaust tips on the left side, what about right side?

l remember seeing exhaust from both side of the car..

Maybe it is under the camo.
It could be a smaller engine variant of the mule.
It could be the angle from which the picture was taken.
There could be millions of reasons that only the engineers and the one(s) taking the pictures could know.

I was told both versions are out there & being tested.

Yet you should mind even F01 will be quite longer than E65 (and F02 longer than E66). So, it's hard to tell without E66 being there to compare. If this prototype is approx as long as E66, then it is F01. If it is larger then E66, then it's F02. Next time someone park E66 beside this prototype.

Correct.

Just like E66 is a long version of E65.

Re: F01 BMW 7er - first spy pics

E65 brings scary thoughts of a Mercedes E klasse with biturbo V12

We already have E63.....

The hood is very long, clearly visible in the pics posted by picsoubmw......I love it

btw, where are thses pics taken you think??? The Renault Clio behind the car has I believe a licence plate from Luxembourg, but the scenery looks like Spain or something southern...

It's in the Provence in France on the Mont Ventoux, a well known hill where you find hundreds of cyclists (tour de France...). Each time I went there I saw prototypes being tested, I remember the ML and Opel Corsa. When going on holiday in the region, you should definitely take your camera with you...

Re: F01 BMW 7er - first spy pics

That grill is really biigg!

2009 BMW 7-Series to take hints from CS Concept

The last time the 7-Series received a redesign was in 2002, and we all know how that went. So now, when the next-generation 2009 BMW 7-Series rolls around, design is expected to be toned down quite a bit. Sources say that the next-generation BMW 7-Series will have an even more elegant look than ever before.

According to these latest renderings the 2009 BMW 7-Series is expected to take design hints from the BMW CS Concept unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show. If you remember at the time of its launch, the BMW CS Concept was said to be BMW’s “new definition of design culture.”

As you can see from these images, the 2009 BMW 7-Series will receive a large grille as the CS Concept. The rear taillights will also take design hints from those of the CS Concept.

BMW will also be introducing a new iDrive and, according to rumors, an eight-speed transmission. The car will make its official debut in 2008 as a 2009 model year.
