Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II

They go hard in testing for any model.
I kinda agree that there shouldn't be a M7, i mean, it is not needed. You want a sporty big BMW just get a 760i with all the sports stuff added to it. A 7series cannot be what driving enthusiasts want to go hard with, big cars such as the S65 are i think for those rich ones who wants to beat you off the line, i mean if you want a quick and capable car, get a SLK or C63 or something and i'm certain it is more of a driving pleasure than a S65. M cars are not just about speed, and there is no need to say what defines M cars because we all know. I actually hope they won't do it, but given what MB and Audi offers, i'm afraid they might do it.. BUT having said that, AMG MLs has existed since the first model and BMW never brought out a X5M. I would rather see a M version of the 1series rather than the 7.

I believe the 750i is far sportier than the 760i just like S 63 is sportier than S 65.

Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II

Eni (or Scott if you happen to read this), are they still going with the plan that there will be more difference than just length between F01 and F02 (F01: sportier, more agile; F02: more emphasis on luxury & comfort)?

Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II

Yes, according to my info F01 & F02 will have some different exterior & interior trims. F01 will have some kind of sporty exterior kit, while F02 will be more elegant (eg. similar to M-pack kit vs standard kit). Also the interior trims will be more luxurious in F02. The difference is expected to be much more obvious than in current E65 vs E66 case. But it could be market dependent decision what differential features to offer.

xDrive is coming on some models.

Hydrogen car will be also offered - I guess in similar way as current one, since no H2 infrastructure is available.

Adaptive Drive Ver. 2.0 will feature air-suspension on F02, not sure about F01.

Some 7er models will be offered with DCT gearbox in the future.

F01 was said to feature a specific - more sporty suspension ... yet that could be market specific as well.
