Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II ![]() What do you people think of this picture? Definitely has size of a grill as l would expect from the mule, and here are those head lights from concept car that we all mentioned.. This could be the best idea of how 7er is going to look, yet..

Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II I'd really like to see new 7er like in the auto moto und sport, but the rear seems to be slightly different form what we can see on the spy pics. What about Scott? Can you give us some clues? Next should we see M3 cabrio this month and next should be 7er next year right? cheers.

Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II ![]() BMW 7-series: the long and the short of it It's hard to believe it's six years since BMW first put the cat among the pigeons with its radically styled 7-series. Just think about the effect that Chris Bangle's flame surfacing introduced - the reverberations can still be felt in some quarters of Munich to this day. So the all-new Seven, due to be unveiled in 12 months' time at the Paris Motor Show 2008, signals a new chapter in BM design. And our spies have already been busy catching the newcomer on test in Germany. Our man on the ground caught these two prototypes on test, and close inspection reveals they are the short- and long-wheelbase versions. The extra length is all squeezed into the wheelbase for more back-seat space, and the longer door is plainly visible. Compared with today's E65/66 model, the next Seven will be smoother and more elegant. Expect a raft of technology inside and out, with head-up displays, cleaner engines and a return to normality after the excesses of today's fourth-generation car. - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER M

Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II Why do people keep saying that the E65 7er had flame surfacing - do they even know what flame surface is? As far as I can tell, the Z4 had flame surface, the 7er didn't have any, it was just ugly (before the FL).

Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II The waiting is so boring, we are seeing the same camo-photos over and over again ... l don't think E65 has flame sufrace, lm driving one and l love every detail of it, because main guys in BMW had guts to try something new, to be diferent than others makers, they risked a lot, and succeded IMO.. l was conviced in that when l saw where new S class put their gear shift, HELLO, do you think Mercedes would ever put the shifter behind the wheel if BMW didnt try it first and it turned out like a clever idea, not to mention the COMMAND system display, which is now at the same place as BMW including the iDRIVE knob. And remember, 7er was in production 11/01, and S class late 05. Who dares, wins.
