| Re: Turbo and Kompressor? golf Gt TSI, the twincharger engine, kompressor turns till 2200 revs alone, then the turbo kick in together until 3400rpm, where it operate itself alone
it effectively eliminates turbo lag whilst providing optimal boost at all revs
it is pretty complex and requires a lot of comuter wiizardry
there is also a pressure factor, i have the operation curve, it is not limited to rpm, but at also different boost pressure there are different ocmbinations of turbo and super
it requires a hell of a plumbing system, and moreover hardly applicabvle to 6 pots and 8 pots due to ecnomic reasons
the unit in the golf is 1.4 liter giving 170bhp, and 240Nm, there are confirmations of a 2.0 liter I4 following |
