Re: Sport Auto: BMW M6 Cabriolet

its obvious M6 Cabrio weigh 200kg more than the Coupe. Its a lot slower in acceleration and on the track.

Re: Sport Auto: BMW M6 Cabriolet

I find "a lot" a bit strong. It's slower, but 2,2 seconds on 0-200 isn't a lot from a convertibal version. Also their 0-100 figures seem to be of their own, and still not that big a difference. The tracktime is also not that much slower. I think, despite the weight increase and no power upgrade, the M6 convertible stays pretty damn fast.

M6 Coupe is 2.1 sekonds faster than M6 Cabrio, its a lot on a small track like hockenheim.

I would agree for the most part, the M6 cabriolet is still pretty fast despite carrying much more weight. Overall i'd say it's clear the coupe is them more sporty vehicle, but the M6 cabriolet is pretty good

Re: Sport Auto: BMW M6 Cabriolet

You know what they say about convertibles:

9/10th the performance, 12/10th the fun.

I kinda agree. Driving such a poweful car with the roof down on a sunny day really is fantastic.

Unless, like Just_me, you only think of the track (where only 1 out of every 500 M6 go anyways)

645i Coupe is only 0.3 seconds slower than M6 Cabrio around hockenheim. M Cabrios is just for posers like you

Re: Sport Auto: BMW M6 Cabriolet

LOL

The M6 cabrio is made for high speed cruising, like a Mercedes. I'm cool with that, there are other BMW models more suited for track use.

I think they did a remarkable job with this car, and it's one of my favorites in the current line-up.
