Crashed BMW M6

Crashed on highway A7 in Switzerland after a young lady tried to drive it in heavy rain at high speed.

This is really sad...It just proves the unexpirience we talked about in the thread Luwalira made.

The engine is still in there the suspension height doesnt suggest it to be absent. Besides the car does not look to be in bad enough shape to write it off and salvage the engine.

Well, depends what speed they call speeding. I've done 110km/h in rain, no problem, in straightish lines and gentle curves only, of course. That's the speed limit here anyway. I didn't think it was particularly foolish at the time.

It's easy to make it out that the salient detail is "young lady" because that's how they report it, but without knowing more, anythin gcould have been the cause, and any of us might not have been any better off.

It's common sense for anyone not to drive that fast in the rain, "young lady" or Jermey Clarkson, hell even Schumi. Fact is your chances of getting into an accident while driving in the rain are far greater than when it's dry out, don't know how much more obvious that can be
