Despite my considerable misgivings about this car, I would nominate the Bugatti Veyron purely from an engineering achievement point of view. Even though it is socially reproachable and heinously expensive...

oh, and pig ugly
and too heavy
and too thirsty
and late
and hopelessly over budget
and (worst of all) Mrs Piech's car - just kidding...

Other than all that, in terms of superlatives, the Veyron has laid the benchmark for the 21st century in a great many aspects.
