Yes, it
is a strong word. But, unfortunately, an apt one in this case.
Previous to the 911, my cousin had a G35 coupe. He fell in love with the idea of owning a Porsche (he could afford a better car now, so, he figured he'd treat himself), but found out he can't live with one. He's not a sports car guy...he belongs in a luxury car.
He loved the way it looked, but he hated the stiff ride; the way he had to literally pull himself out of the driver's seat (he's a slightly heavier fella); & he felt like he was sitting way too low in the car...he just found it too snug. Also, he hated driving with a manual transmission (he learned to drive with a stick for this car...he knew that it wouldn't be the same to have a 911 & get an automatic).
When he went back to the Porsche store he bought it from, the fella there didn't believe him when he said he hated the car. I'm guessing they don't hear that, often...
