| Re: Pictures from Gran Turismo 4 The M5 has a spoiler because it's been massaged to about (I believe) 700hp and the spoiler keeps her glued to the ground with downforce. In GT4, spoilers actually give you adjustable downforce, which is why you see them on most of my cars, because without them, there's zero way I'd be able to put down all the power my cars are making. The Speed 12 is an example: 1067hp
I've also got an E55 and an RS6 that are tuned to the same level to compete with the M5... I use them when I race my friends for a fairly level playing field, even though the RS6 destroys the other two cars. The quattro easily puts down the horsepower, whereas the E55 and M5 are struggling against the traction control kicking in. One of these days I'll sit down and adjust the LSDs to maximize acceleration, so they might have a chance to keep up.
