I have been using a Hitachi 2GB Microdrive for over a year and do not notice any speed deficiencies, up or down. I handle it just like a CF card and it is working like a charm.

Lexar has a 4GB CF card and if you go to B&H, OneCall or some others you can get it for $169. On pricegrabber and other sites it says on the list of sellers, Click here for lower price and it was listed at $269 but when you click it was $169. This is for their new pro card.
