***Wimmer BMW 118i: The Winter Tires & Rims***

Brought the car up to the BMW dealership this morning for a fresh set of winter tires. They're Dunlop Winter-Sport M3 measuring 205/55 R16's. These tires won various comparisons and tests including from Autobild, ADAC, Auto Motor und Sport etc.

Here's what the car looks like with them.

These rims are not comparable to the summer tyres, but nevertheless they don't look bad!! I'm still in love with the colour of your sisters 1-series!!

I know. I prefer the standard rims myself. But during the winter everyone puts on ugly wheels on their cars - except your family.

If only it was an 130i with those hubcaps, it would be the ultimate *Q-Car*!

*
Q-Car
*
-British term used for unmarked police cars, but also used to denominate high-performance cars that look unassuming; the so-called "Sleeper" .

That's no completely right! My father met another E-Class owner in Hamburg last winter! He inspected our E-Class and when my father came along he asked, if this is our car - my father affirmed this. It appears that the men drove exactly the same E-Class (Obsidianblack, black leather, E 280 CDI with 6 speed manual (!!), sportpackage, same 17' winter tyres, no navigation, no Thermotronic and so on)! Sadly, I didn't was there - It had been a very nice photo shooting with those two black beautiful cars.

Thank God it's not a 130i! The 118i is pretty economical but the small fuel tank means a short range and constant fill-ups, especially if you travel a lot.
