Autobild: BMW 123d vs 130i

Two hearts, one soul: The 123d demands the 130i to the duel. What can the new Diesel Topmodell offer to the strongest 1er? The BMW brother fight brings new explosiveness into the faith question around the correct propulsion principle.

Can the 123d be an alternative to the 130i?

123d and 130i are like Kain and Abel. Under ecological and cost criteria the Diesel is at any time capable of the brother murder at the Benziner and decides the twin Zwist for itself. A clear victory to points. But there is another, level by feel. To the duel consolidates itself to a pure affair of heart, which demands financial victims. Who understands BMW in the traditional sense as sport mark, does not go past at the Benziner. It is the more dynamic model. There the super-Diesel likes passionate fire with the rear wheels scharren, more still in such a way kindles the Benziner with its ingenious suction engine.

Result:
With the 123d BMW of its successful "Efficent dynamic strategy" puts a new crown on. The four-cylinder Diesel with two-stage turbo-loading is taken for itself a grandioses engine. If the belly and not the account decide, my choice falls however on the 130i. The 265-PS-Topversion embodies a compact sport model in best BMW tradition.

No acceleration numbers...

I couldn't agree more.

If they costed the same, I'd take 130i. But diesel seems more reasonable when it comes to daily cost, so probably I'd take 123d.

Re: Autobild: BMW 123d vs 130i

I like them without the M package. I don't really think it should be compared to a 130i- their both in different leagues. Realistically, I would take the 123d.
